About Us
Eureka was founded in 2018 by eight founding members with solid professional experience in the social, educational, and non-profit sectors.
From the beginning, the association has been committed to the design and implementation of learning and personal development projects
that foster inclusion, participation, and community growth at both local and European levels.
Our activities primarily address primary and early-childhood teachers, women and men with a migrant background, as well as associations and non-profit organisations. We work in the field of school and adult education, with particular attention to people with fewer opportunities, and we design learning pathways that respond to real community needs while promoting empowerment and lifelong learning.
A core part of our work focuses on informal Italian as a Second Language (L2) education. Through continuous volunteering activities, we support migrants in developing language skills that are essential for social participation, autonomy, and access to services. Alongside language learning, we develop projects aimed at the exploration and enhancement of the local territory, addressing its environmental, cultural, and social specificities as key educational resources.
Eureka also promotes environmental education and sustainability, working in close synergy with local partners such as ilpianetanaturale.org. These activities encourage ecological awareness, collective responsibility, and a deeper connection between people and their surrounding environment.
Another important area of our work is STEAM education, which we approach through creative and arts-based methodologies. Our STEAM initiatives are mainly addressed to families and are designed to make learning accessible, engaging, and inclusive. We also develop specific activities for mothers and children, with the aim of strengthening the parent-child relationship through shared learning experiences and collaborative exploration.
Our target groups include migrant women and their children, teachers, adults (including seniors), and staff of associations. We regularly involve participants with fewer opportunities, especially migrants, thanks to long-standing cooperation with local organisations and community networks. The multidisciplinary background of our staff allows us to design meaningful learning experiences that combine education, personal growth, motivation, and social inclusion.
At the European level, Eureka is actively engaged in Erasmus+ projects, including ongoing training for teachers, staff mobility initiatives, and capacity-building actions within KA220 cooperation partnerships. We also host teachers and learners from European partner organisations, fostering intercultural exchange, mutual learning, and the sharing of good practices.
Through all our activities, Eureka aims to create inclusive learning spaces where people feel valued, supported, and encouraged to grow—individually and collectively.
